Writing Prompt - Changing the Venue

The Writing Club is changing its venue for the first couple of meetings this session. Check it out here to find the details.
It made me wonder - how important is the venue to your story?
Wuthering Heights wouldn't have had the same effect if it was a two-up two-down on a slighly windy hill.  Jaws wouldn't have worked in a small pond and Lord of the Flies had no chance if the boys' bus broke down on Ayr promenade. (That could have been a far more scary story!)
Sometimes the venue is the story. Can you make your venue more exciting and/or dramatic? Somewhere like Hogwarts or the Orient Express creates an isolated, enclosed venue where tensions can simmer and explode.
So, look at your venue. What can you do to use it to the max? Where would create even more drama? Is your current venue the best possible place to base the story?
