Summer Meeting #2

Maggie hosted another successful summer meeting last week when ten members brought along a wide variety of their work for discussion.  Poetry was popular with contributions from Marion Montgomery, Dorothy McCluskie, Greta Yorke and myself.  A visit to Arran prompted Ann Burnett to write an article about the local distillery, while Sheila Grant continued writing about the ministry of Glen Gairn. Having added a “Scottish” flavour to her children’s story, Maggie Bolton read out the revised version. Twist in the tale stories came from Fiona Atchison and Catherine Lang, while Dorothy Gallagher’s excerpt from her latest novel left us all wanting to hear more.

I am really enjoying the meetings this season as I find you can get good feed back on a work in progress and even get ideas for possible markets.

The next meeting will be on the 6th July at 7.30 p.m. at Lesley’s house.  Details will be emailed to members.
